Step 1 To Plus 5 Living

Pick something that your enjoy, are knowledgeable about or just have an interest in, remember you don't have to be an expert in the subject.
I really need to drive this point home because people will get bogged down in this step and this should be the easiest. Fear is a terrible thing and most people have completely unfulfilled lives because of it, you know thoughts like, I can't do this because:
  • I'm too, old, young, white, black, dumb, busy...
  • I don't have money, a degree (this a big one for some people, more on this later), a computer...
  • I don't know anything about the Internet, how to blog or what a blog is, have any friends, know anybody, have time to start anything new..

I think by now you get the picture.

Let's establish this right now...people make time to do what they want to do and what is important to them, period, no excuses.

How many times have you seen people put themselves in awkward, illogical, and often foolish positions to do something. For example, having little money but figuring out a way to go to a concert, taking a trip, or buying something, while putting another financial obligation in jeopardy...then justify it.

So I don't want to hear it when I talk to some one about the possibility of improving their lifestyle and I get this junk from them...keep in mind I don't have to share this and I'm not chasing anybody. I do this because I want to and know what it can do for a family if they do some work... yes I said work, now you're really scared. LOL

Ok, back to the fun stuff. I like coffee, so I created Americans Against Bad Coffee,http://americansagainstbadcoffee.blogspot.com, a blog and a Facebook Group purely for my own enjoyment. Why? Because I have a ego that's why and it's fun to share something you love with others. (Mostly ego though) smile. Oh go on and laugh with your uptight self, here let me help you...hahahhahaaahhhahhahahhahah, there feel better? Good!

What I found was that other people shared my passion and before I knew it the Facebook group had others in it besides myself, then I got bold and invited others to join us and guess what...they did. By the way you might notice I haven't mentioned money or selling anything it's not all about that, we're having fun and helping others in the process, besides there's no cost to anything I told you so far, more to come on this.

Ok, enough for the moment, I'm sure you're brain dead and my fingers are tired. Be sure to come back for my next post.

Note: If you sign up to follow(use the "follow" box on this page) this blog you'll be notified by email of all new posts.

Until next time,

Naysayers are not your enemies, they're your customers.

There's always someone out their who is an expert on everything, you know the person who acts like they're on top of the world but if you closely you see they're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

No, offense but I get tired of these people who are too scared to get out there and stake their on claim but will do everything in their power to hold other people, you especially, down.

Well truth be told not everyone is cut out for business or controlling their lives.

If you're smart you're very thankful for these folks, I mean my God somebody has by the stuff we promote.

So here's to the naysayers with wallets or heck, their friends, relatives,or enemies with wallets...smile.

Here's to living and not just existing,

JT

Welcome

Plus5Living is a blog created to help educate people how not to be totally dependant on their 9 to 5.

What is a Plus 5?

A plus 5 is an activity you do after or around your 9-5 job that creates an income stream while you are doing other things including sleeping. You can put 5 mins perday, 5 hours per week, 5 days per month or any amount of time you see fit but it has to be positive, fun, exciting and generate cash flow.I am not the most eleoquent writer but I tell it like it is...you are not your job.

Too many people, myself included at one time, measure their self worth and idenity by their job or career, this should not be so.A job is something you do not who you are! This is why layoffs, cutbacks, downsizeings, and firings can be so devistating to some people. When people first meet someone a question that is almost always asked is"what do you do?' Then we puff up our chest and proudly say I'm a so and so...blah, blah, blah or we cower down and say meekly"I'm a umm, umm... you get the picture.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with enjoying your job, as a matter of fact you should enjoy what you do so much that you don't even consider it work butdon't let it steal who you really are from you.I am going to try to show you ways and provide opportunities to be able to do some things you really want to do, be able to go where and when you want to go and not have to have alot of money in the bank right now to do it.

This is not a get rich quick program or a get out of debt plan, it's a freedom plan that will only work if you put some effort into it.

Welcome to Plus 5 Living.
